What is Sugaring?
Body sugaring, sugar wax, sugaring: they are different names for the hair removal method based on sugar paste. This method of hair removal is becoming more and more popular, and for good reason too. It is a natural product, the hairs do not break and the result is long-lasting.
Stop waxing, start sugaring
If you are familiar with waxing, you know that this can often irritate the skin, burn it or even cause allergic reactions. Not so strange, because wax is hot and full of chemical ingredients. The result is often disappointing, the hairs can break off and come back relatively quickly, even if you have been waxing for a long time. Try a sugaring treatment and see for yourself. You’ll be amazed at the result, and you won’t want anything else!
If you do something, do it right
If you have never dared to wax, but are completely done with shaving, it is certainly a good idea to try a sugaring treatment. No burned skin, bruises from the strips or other annoying experiences. Of course, sugaring is also painful, but most customers find sugaring much less painful than waxing. At Sugared, we work carefully and keep going until the last hair is gone. If you’re here for the first time, we’ll take extra time to explain what we’re doing and make you feel at ease. Once you start sugaring, you’ll never shave again!
The secret of sugaring
Sugaring is the oldest method of hair removal and has existed since the ancient Egyptians. It is not only the best method of hair removal, but also sustainable and cruelty free. The sugar paste which we use to remove hair is a natural product made from sugar, water and lemon juice. That’s it! Sugar is a natural disinfectant, and is therefore safe to use even on sensitive skin and for conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. The sugar paste only removes dead skin cells with the hair, making your skin wonderfully soft. With the sugaring technique, we remove the hairs in the direction of hair growth. This means that all the hairs are removed and do not break off. The result: hairs stay away for longer and, after a number of treatments, there will already be much less hair growth.
