The first time: what can I expect?
If you’ve never had a treatment before, it can be quite nerve-wracking. That’s why we take extra time to make you feel comfortable the first time around. You can ask questions and we’ll explain how the treatment works. For you, it’s your first time. For us, this is our job. Nothing shocks us, and we do everything we can to make your first appointment as pleasant as possible.
Does it hurt?
Hair removal always hurts, sugaring is no exception. Nevertheless, most customers experience less pain than with waxing, for example. This is because the sugar is not hot, the hairs are removed in the direction of the hair growth and once the treatment is complete you will be pain-free. We work as carefully as possible. And if necessary, we’ll take a break. It can help to take a painkiller beforehand.
How long should the hair be?
Sugaring is already possible with hairs from 0.5 cm in length. For the best result, we recommend not shaving at least 2 weeks before the appointment. The longer the hairs, the better we can remove them. And the more hairs we remove, the better the result.
What do you mean by a Brazilian?
At Sugared, a Brazilian is always the front and back (bum crack). Do you want to leave a landing strip or a triangle, or do you want everything to be smooth? That’s entirely up to you. All variations are simply called Brazilian. With a Bikini, we only remove the hairs outside the briefs. Would you also like to have your bum crack treated? In that case, choose Bikini & String.
How much time is there between the appointments?
If you’re just starting sugaring, you’ll have to reschedule a little sooner. For example, three to four weeks for a Brazilian. If you visit regularly for a treatment, the hairs will grow more slowly. And you can plan more time between appointments. For a Brazilian, four to six weeks.
Can I come when I have my period?
It is possible to perform the treatment during menstruation. That’s no problem for us. However, we do ask you to put in a tampon or cup. If you’re a little more sensitive at this time, it can help to take a painkiller beforehand.
I’m pregnant. Can I make an appointment?
Sugaring is a safe method, even if you are pregnant. Many women like to be well groomed in the intimate zone during childbirth. If you let us know that you are pregnant, we will take this into account and plan more time. We recommend that you start well before the delivery. We will prepare a schedule and you can come in one last time just before the delivery, so that everything is beautiful and smooth.
